Mount Stewart Wedding: Rachel & Roy at Temple of the Winds

1 Feb, 2019 | Wedding Blog

Rachel is originally from Bangor & Roy originally from Ecuador. They now live in one of the best cities in the world – Barcelona!  The sun, beaches, city life and great weather are all on Barcelona’s side.  Yet when they chose to get married, they picked a temple in a quiet part of Northern Ireland, a place renowned for not so great weather (even in the summer).

Mount Stewart is a stunning venue in a beautiful spot with amazing views, and a micro-climate of its own (some say).  And even when the weather isn’t on your side it still is the perfect place to celebrate your wedding day.   Close to home for Rachel and her family, the Renfrew’s were very proud to show Roy’s family what the local area has to offer.

Darwin, Roy’s brother and best man, spoke of the beauty of this island (and the fact it needs to rain to make it so beautiful).  Roy’s family loved experiencing a real Irish summer wedding blended with hints of Mediterranean cuisine.  It was a great wedding with some lovely touches, with a special mention to Norma from Country Bumpkin for the beautiful flower displays and Posh Nosh for the food and Rachel’s mum Susan for the wedding cake!  Whoa
